So like everyone knows that I love to look at blogs; like tons and tons of blogs. I just checked my Google Reader account and I am currently subscribed to 176 blogs. (That even surprised me!) So with all that blog reading/picture looking I find some really cool ideas. Which brings me to our fun October project.
I came across the site kiki and company during one of my favorite blogs September Spooktacular Event. I was so excited when I saw it! I printed everything off and made a Halloween Advent packet. This is so fun; if you want a super fun and super exciting way to celebrate Halloween I would totally suggest this countdown. Danny and I have been opening windows for 9 days now and it has been so much fun! There has only been one thing thus far we didn't want to do... bobbing for apples. Tell me I'm not the only one that gets grossed out by this... plus who wants a soaking wet face/head. Unless you are a kid, this can not be fun. I'm thinking I will re-wright that day for when we do this next year, we have totally started a new tradition! Let me know if you want to do this with us and I can email you what I've got in our packet. I've even found some new recipes I'm going to try for some of the days! I can't wait until those windows get opened! I've been trying to take a picture everyday and I will put a blog post together at the end of the month so you can see how much fun we have had! For now; here is our countdown in all her glory up on our "mantle":
Another thing I decided to do this month is the FAT MUM SLIM photo a day challenge. I like to take pictures and I love to look at pictures. Danny gets annoyed with my Instagram-ing sometimes but this has been fun for me. If you care to see the silly pictures I've taken you can follow me there @abenchproduction. Now I have to figure out what I'm going to do for today. I have to find something red...
And the last thing I'm going to share with you before I end this little October post is this:
HAPPY NATIONAL DESSERT DAY!!!
I'm going to try and get away with making these tonight: Funnel Cakes topped with Pumpkin whipped cream... doesn't that sound delightful? I think if I use my pancake pen I can get away with not having a funnel. Wish me luck convincing Danny to let me try these! ;)

Until my next post.... have a fun October and a Happy Halloween!!!
