This was our first 4th we got to celebrate together! It was so much fun, we had such a wonderful day! We decorated cupcakes in the morning and then we had the BBQ in the afternoon and all the food was so delicious! Danny was so excited to take the doggie with us and she got to play in the backyard all day long! Ben and Jayson kept her busy playing fetch. And boy was she worn out when we got home! Jayson, Danny and I had a lot of fun letting off smoke balls and Ben and Jayson threw all the poppers. When those were gone we were out of day-time fireworks and we had to wait until it got a little darker to light off all the others. Danny taught me how to play Ping Pong and we had a little tournament. It was so great, what an intense game :) I loved hanging out with the family and playing games! It was a blast!
Danny was really happy that I love fireworks and the fact that I love to light fireworks. So Jayson and I were lighting off a whole bunch of fireworks before we had to call in the "Fire Department" aka Danny :) Then the two of them lit off a bunch. It was very entertaining to watch!
Around 10:00 Danny, Kokua and I went over to the sno shack. We watched the Meridian Speedway fireworks with Grandma that the City of Meridian puts on every year while Mom and Grandpa ran the shack. It was a great show this year and of course, we got a yummy sno cone!
When we left there to head home, I'm a little surprised Kokua could still walk. Once we got back home she went right in and found her spot on the floor. She was exhausted, I have never seen the puppy so tired before.
Danny and I had a wonderful first 4th of July! I can't wait until next year!
