Storm

Okay I know I've been really bad lately and I haven't been posting a lot. I need to clean up my act! I promise I will blog about the things we have been up to this summer. BUT for now, I want to tell you about the awesome night we had last night!

It pretty much started like every other night, I came home from work and Danny made me dinner, we went and worked out, I thought my body was going to fall apart.... the usual!

Well after the workout I sat out on the driveway, I couldn't walk.... I couldn't move.... it was pretty much as far as I could go at that point. The wind was so nice, it has been so hot this summer and it was nice to have a cool breeze to relax in after sweating up a storm!

And speaking of a storm... look at that nice segway..... haha that was pretty convenient..... anyway, speaking of the storm, Danny and I decided to sit out on the patio after we finally made it up to the house because it was so nice out and we wanted to enjoy it! Danny kept saying he saw a flash of lightning here and there. Well it started to get darker and the misquotes I swear were coming out and I got bit, and your thinking just get to the point already.... well I stood up and looked over the fence out at the sky and you could tell a storm was coming, we could see it raining out over the Owyhees. It was gorgeous! I ran to get the camera, it looked so pretty! But the picture never turns out as good as real life when your trying to get one of the sky and clouds and the texture and colors.... BUT as it got darker and the storm got closer I was out there like an idiot trying to get a picture of it! Well.... I got a lot of this

and we could see the huge cloud gradually move across the sky...

Until finally I got these!

This was actually my first shot of the lightning but also my favorite and the very best one so I saved it for last....

It was absolutely gorgeous!

Of course there was a lot cooler looking shots then this, my finger and brain just aren't quite fast enough to capture them. I'm just so proud of my self that I got this one!!!! It's beautiful!

If you couldn't tell... I absolutely love storms! I love to hear the roaring thunder and feel it shake my bones and the lightning is so fascinating and beautiful! It's as exciting to me as watching fireworks explode in the sky.... it's so amazing to see it stretch across the sky or shoot down to the earth!

Danny and I once caught this episode on the discovery channel about thunder and lightning, we were hooked, it's amazing how our world works and the gorgeous and beautiful scenes the Lord allows us to see. Some people get scared of this sort of thing but I just absolutely love it!!!!
