4th of July weekend

Danny and I had a blast this 4th of July weekend!!!
First we decided to hit the lake on Saturday.
It was so much fun and so nice up there, a little windy but Danny braved the cold water.
This was Kapone's first trip to the lake, we were pretty excited to see how he would react. We let both puppies loose and Kokua ran for the lake at full speed! She loves the water and can't wait to get in, she wont leave the water the entire time we are there for anything. As she ran for the water Kapone followed just as fast as he could, he did not know what hit him, when he realized he couldn't touch bottom he flipped around and came back to shore. It was so cute watching him swim, just splashing more than anything!
They love to play and Kokua can't get enough fetch in the water, she loves to swim after the stick. Kapone got use to the whole swimming thing pretty quick after that first initial shock and enjoyed fetch too. Kokua would swim all the way out and grab the stick, then on her way back, Kapone would swim out to her and steal it to bring it back to Danny.
They were so much fun to watch!
This video was one of the few times Kapone actually swam out to get the stick.
Notice all the splashing? So adorable!
Here are some of my favorite photos from our trip:
(They look like alligators)
I can't wait to go again! Maybe it will be a little warmer.....
On Sunday we celebrated the 4th with a BBQ at the Essman house. It was a lot of fun, we had yummy food and hung out with the family.
We watched the fireworks at out house! So much fun!

Then on Monday morning Danny and I went to see The Last Airbender in 3D.
I won tickets from the radio station so it was free!!
We were pretty excited to go see it, and we had a lot of fun. It was really cool in 3D and I don't think it would have been as good without it. It was a pretty fun story and an entertaining movie. I would recommend it! It eludes to 2 more movies and I hope they are able to make the next ones, it will be fun to go and see them and continue the story.
Our saweet new 3D glasses!
They are disposable, we didn't kipe them :)
After the movie we went over to the Bench house for a 4th of July celebration. We had a BBQ with yummy food and even homemade ice cream and Apple Pie for desert!
It was a lot of fun and we watched National Treasure, one of my favorite movies. It was a lot of fun hanging out with the family. I can't believe that we brought our camera and didn't even take any photos....
It was a wonderful weekend which made it so hard to come back to work.
Last night we were able to go watch Jayson play basketball.
It was a lot of fun to watch and cheer them on.
Can't wait for this next weekend.....!
