Thanksgiving 2012

**We are in full on Christmas mode now and loving every minute of the hustle and bustle!! But I needed to get this post done so it's going up on the blog a little late**

We had so much fun this year! And we have so much to be thankful for! We were able to spend time with so many family members this weekend and we couldn't be more happy.

Thanksgiving week started early, on Tuesday Mom came with me to my evening RS meeting where we had our annual pie making night to benefit those in need at a shelter in Nampa. Mom and I peeled and cut apples for the pies. It was a lot of fun and a lot of apple and pumpkin pies were made that night.

On Wednesday Christmas came early and Danny & I got our new phones!

It's been a lot of fun figuring out all the fun things they can do. After waiting around for the FedEx guy we went over to Danny's parents house and hung out with everyone and ate pizza. Jeff & Jess and the kids came up from Utah as well as Ryan & Lisa. It was so much fun to see them all and spend time with them. We are so glad Lisa was able to come and are so happy that she and Ryan are together!
PS: They are engaged now and we couldn't be more thrilled!!

Thanksgiving day I woke up and watched the entire Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

It was so fun, all 3 hours of it! I didn't realize it was that long but it was still really fun. Then while I was getting ready my straightener decided it had had enough and it died. D.I.E.D. died! It's been dying for about a year so I knew it was coming but it was just the worst timing. I had to try and straighten my hair with my curling iron and it was a mess. Danny took it apart to see if it could be fixed but there was no time to tinker with it.

We headed over to Scott & Denice's for dinner and we had so much fun visiting with everyone.

We missed seeing Randy, Melissa & Jordan (who were in Colorado this year) and the whole gang from Utah; we wish you could have been there and hope we can see you all soon. The food was delicious and a big thank you to all that prepared it and especially Denice for hosting and having the whole family over. After we ate, the football game was on downstairs and the Black Friday adds were pulled out upstairs. Denice had a fun craft for the girls and we could all hear Sean and Skylar battling it out playing ping pong downstairs too. I burned myself pretty bad making flowers for my wreath and it hurt all night long but my flowers turned out really pretty and it was a lot of fun learning and doing a new craft with the girls. Courtney is super creative and Amy and I copied her large flower design. :) So pretty. a picture of that finished product coming soon to a computer near you :)

Kyle& Rachel were on vacation this week and Danny & I got to feed Wayne, their lizard. So after I was done with all my flowers we headed to the Munk's to feed the little guy. He was so excited to eat those carrots and it was really fun to watch him chase the crickets. After feeding Wayne we went over to Danny's parents for dessert and games. I ate like 20 scotcheroos and those dang messy bars were hard to stop eating and we had pie, lots of pie. Friday the kids wrote their letters to Santa and sent them off to the North Pole via balloon ride :) This is a really fun tradition and it's so much fun to watch the kids send their balloons off!

Saturday we went bowling with the entire Bench crew. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! Have I mentioned that I love bowling? Well bowling with the entire family was a blast! I'm so glad we were able to go and have so much fun!!

It was really fun to spend time with both sides of our family during Thanksgiving break and we are really grateful and blessed to be part of 2 incredibly awesome families!
